Common questions before you start

Do I really own the code, or is there a catch?
You own it outright once your final invoice is paid — full source code, IP rights, the lot. No per-user licence fees, no per-month "platform" fees, no clause that lets us claw it back. We use standard MIT-licensed open-source components, which you can keep using freely. This is contractually documented in our master services agreement and called out in our Terms of Use.
What languages and frameworks do you build with?
Our defaults are Python (FastAPI / Django), Node.js, PHP (Laravel) on the backend; React, Vue, or Astro on the frontend; React Native or Flutter for mobile; PostgreSQL or MySQL for data. We hosted in AWS or GCP Singapore region by default for PDPA-friendly data residency. If your team already runs a different stack and you want us to match it, we can — just flag it in the discovery call.
How long does a typical project take?
Workflow automation: 2–4 weeks. Internal tool / admin dashboard: 4–6 weeks. Custom CRM/ERP or mobile app: 8–14 weeks. Legacy modernisation: 8–16 weeks. We commit to the timeline in writing as part of the fixed-price quote, and we ship demos weekly so you see the trajectory.
What about post-launch — do you maintain the software?
Two options. (1) DIY — you have the source, you can run it forever, you can hire any other dev to extend it. (2) SLA-backed maintenance plan — monthly retainer with guaranteed response times, security patches, dependency updates, and a small allowance for new feature work. Most clients start with option 2 for the first 6–12 months and graduate to option 1 once their internal team is comfortable.
Can you integrate with our existing tools?
Yes — that's about half the work in most engagements. We routinely integrate with HRMS (BambooHR, Talenox), accounting (Xero, QuickBooks), payments (Stripe, PayNow, HitPay), e-commerce (Shopify, WooCommerce), messaging (WhatsApp Business API, Twilio), and scheduling (Calendly, Google Calendar). If your tool has an API, we can integrate; if it doesn't, we'll tell you up front so you can decide.
Is custom software actually cheaper than off-the-shelf SaaS?
It depends on the workflow. Off-the-shelf SaaS is cheaper for the first 12–18 months. Custom software wins when (a) you have 10+ staff using a tool and per-user fees stack up, (b) the SaaS only does 70% of what you need and you're paying staff to fill the 30% gap manually, or (c) the workflow is core competitive advantage and you don't want to hand it to a vendor. We help you do that math honestly in the discovery call — sometimes we recommend you stay on SaaS.
